Jennifer Fox has been teaching Yoga for over thirty years and approaches yoga, movement, meditation and sculpting in clay as a celebration of body, heart and soul.
Certified in the Iyengar system in 1989, it was “love at first dog pose” when she embraced the philosophy and teachings of John Friend’s Anusara™ Yoga in 2000 and then became an Anusara-Inspired™ teacher.
Since then her work has evolved with her partner Paul into their own Evolutionary Yoga style. She focuses on compassionate yoga stressing the importance of mindfulness and alignment, strength, rehabilitation of injuries and limitations, core centered mobilization and most importantly, the practice of self-love and acceptance.
She credits long time Zen friend/Buddhist Cheri Huber as one of her most influential mentors. Jenni has completed and assisted The Hakomi™ method of Experiential Psychotherapy, completed Manuela Mischke- Reed’s From Trauma to Dharma Mindfulness-Based Trauma Therapy Training, and continues to study Jon Eisman’s RCS (Recreating the Self) Training.
She has been a teacher and guest presenter since 1982 at Rancho La Puerta in Tecate, Mexico. She was one of the earliest black belts in the Nia™ technique, a method she helped pioneer in its early stages. She offers women’s retreats and workshops at NamaStay™ as well as international retreats with her husband and partner Paul.
NamaStay continues to support and offer benefits for CASA, court appointed special advocates for children and LIVING COMPASSION’S VULNERABLE AFRICAN CHILDREN’S PROJECT.
